PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information processing system configured to efficiently obtain correct position information on an article to be managed.SOLUTION: A position information processing system includes: a wireless tag attached to an article to be managed; a position information processing apparatus which processes position information of the article; and a position information management apparatus which receives the position information to be managed. The position information processing apparatus includes: means of acquiring data on the wireless tag by means of a wireless communication unit; means of acquiring receiving intensity of electric waves received from the wireless tag; means of acquiring position information to be obtained when data is acquired from the wireless tag; means of managing whether the article is moving or standing still, on the basis of the receiving intensity; means of holding position information acquired at a time in accordance with a management state of the article; and means of transmitting the held position information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
