PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a three-phase rotary machine for extremely reducing a phase current peak in a structure in which a harmonic content is superimposed on a fundamental wave component.SOLUTION: A controller for controlling drive of a three-phase rotary machine having two three-phase winding groups includes a first power converter and a second power converter provided corresponding to the two winding groups for outputting AC currents, the amplitudes of which are mutually the same, and the mutual phase difference of which is (30±60×n) deg when n is an integer, to the two winding groups, and a control part for controlling energization so as to superimpose a phase current fifth-order component and a phase current seventh-order component having frequencies of 5 times and 7 times of a phase current primary component energizing the three phase rotary machine respectively, over the phase current primary component and reduce the peak of the phase current primary component. The control part superimposes the phase current fifth-order component and the seventh-order component by optimum combination of the amplitudes by which the amount of the peak reduction of the phase current primary component exceeds 5%, as to the amplitudes of the phase current fifth-order component and the phase current seventh-order component with respect to the amplitude of the phase current primary component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
