PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low hydrogen type covered electrode of good welding workability, capable of providing a welding metal of high strength, stable low temperature toughness, and a CTOD value.SOLUTION: Provided is a low hydrogen type covered electrode comprising a soft steel core wire coated with a coating agent. The coating agent contains, as mass % relative to a total mass of the coating agent, a total of metal carbonates: 40-58%, a total of metal fluorides: 10-20%, an SiOconversion value: 4-10%, a TiOconversion value: 1-5%, AlO: 2% or less, Si: 1-4%, Mn: 0.7-3.0%, Ni: 4-8%, Ti: 0.5-2.5%, Al: 0.3-1.8%, Mg: 2.5-4.5%, a total of B and a B conversion value of B compound: 0.20-0.45%, a total of a NaO conversion value, and a KO conversion value: 2-5%. |
