The invention relates to a process for the production of a biopreparation for the treatment of severe cases of rheumatic disorders from the fruiting body of the fungus Agaricus campester (field mushroom or champignon). The object of the invention is to provide a biopreparation, which can be produced with little expense, for the therapy of rheumatic disorders, which preparation is also straightforward to use. To achieve this object, the invention proposes subjecting the fruiting bodies of the fungus to a fermentation in an air-tight closed vessel, in particular made of glass, at temperatures of 7-15 DEG C and in the dark for at least 60 days, and filtering off the liquid produced in the fermentation. It is expedient to bury the vessel 0.5 to 1 metre deep in soil during the fermentation.
