Process and device for producing porous mortar

For producing a porous mortar with a high volume and low specific weight, the air is fed in the form of compressed air with simultaneous enlargement of the effective surface area of the mortar composition and is incorporated by mixing. The air is introduced preferably at 8 to 15 bar and fed either directly upstream of the mixing zone or distributed at several points along its length. The process is carried out using a device consisting of apparatuses or perforated plates arranged one behind the other in the pipeline, by means of which device the mortar composition is divided into partial streams and reunited. By suitable design of the compressed air connections or of an annular bore or of perforated plates of hollow design, an intensive blending of the mortar composition and mixing in of the air are ensured. The device of simple design can be arranged in the pipeline, directly upstream of the consumer, so that conveying of the mortar composition to which air has not yet been added is much simpler. <IMAGE>
