PURPOSE:To increase durability and to prevent the generation of frost, in an electric resistance type sensor, by coating a detection part composed of ceramic with a silicone resin. CONSTITUTION:A comb-shaped gold electrode 3 is formed on an Al2O3 substrate by screen printing and a frosting detection paste 5 composed of ceramic is applied to said electrode 3 and subjected to two-step drying to be set to a film thickness of 30mum. Further, a condensation type silicone resin is applied to form a protective film 7 having thickness of 2.5mum. Since the protective film 7 sufficiently inhibits water, the durability of a sensor is increased and the generation of frosting is accurately foreseen and can be prevented.
