The mould includes a lower mould part (12) having a moulding surface over which the skin cover (22) is placed, and a container portion (18) into which the back side cover part (24) of the cushion is placed; and an upper mould part (13) assembled on the lower mould (12) so as to form a cavity into which liquid foam resin to become the cushion pad member is poured through an opening (32), such that the cavity and the container portion of the lower mould are completely separated, and the foam is not moulded onto the cushion back side cover part (24). A separable middle mould part (14) may form a hollow in the cushion, which may be for an automobile seat. The skin cover (22) has an open back side (23) to which the back side cover part is attached at (24a), the remaining skin and back side cover part sides (23a, 24b) being attached by fasteners (25a, 25b).
