PURPOSE:To perform the fast processing of image data by operating plural local image extraction circuits in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The local image extraction circuits 40, a local image reproducing means, a local image processing circuit 50, and an image data transfer means are assembled, for example, in one image processor, and the image data transfer means reads out source image data from a prescribed area on an image memory designated by a control processor, and supplies picture element data to each local image extraction circuit 40. A local image constitution circuit combines the picture element data outputted from each local image extraction circuit 40, and outputs plural local images consisting of mXn picture elements. The local images obtained in such way are located at prescribed relation of dislocation on a source image, and each local image is processed in parallel at the local image processing circuit 50 at a succeeding stage. Thereby, an image processing can be performed at high speed. |
