PURPOSE:To obtain the electrode material to yield a secondary battery which has a large charging and discharging capacity and is less degraded in charge efficiency by the use with a continuous cycle by bonding or coating a specific carbonaceous material and metallic material with a specific carbonaceous material. CONSTITUTION:The carbonaceous material 1 (e.g.: the thermally decomposed matter of naphthalene-1, 4, 5, 8-tetracarboxylic dianhydride) having <3.45Angstrom face-to-face spacing of (002) face by the wide-angle diffraction of X-rays is prepd. The metallic material 2 (e.g.: aluminum) consisting of a metal which can form an alloy with an alkaline metal and/or an alkaline metal alloy is prepd. The carbonaceous material 3 (e.g.; the thermally cracked matter of a cellulose resin) having a peak PA in a range from 1580 to 1520cm<-1> and a peak PB in a range from 1350 to 1370cm<-1> in Raman spectra using an argon ion laser beam of 5145Angstrom wavelength is separately prepd. The carbonaceous material 1 and the metallic material 2 are bonded or coated with the carbonaceous material 3, by which the electrode material is produced. |
