<p>PURPOSE:To enable supply of recording paper through returning of a cassette from a paper-feed position when there is no recording paper in the cassette and to display warning of absence of the recording paper by horizontally moving the paper feed cassette to the paper-feed position by a paper size signal and by returning it from the paper-feed position to the initial position by a detecting means signal for the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:Each of paper-feed cassettes C1 to C5 contained in a cassette container II is made movable in the horizontal direction by rotation of motors M1 to M5, while a support G is vertically moved as a guide by rotation of a motor built in an elevating table E. A desired paper-feed cassette C2 is moved by a paper size signal from an image forming device body and set at a paper- feed position, and after presence of a recording paper PS is confirmed by a photocoupler PC, the elevating table E is lowered by a paper-feed signal to place a conveying roller 11A on a recording paper P2 of the paper-feed cassette C2 to bring it into the state ready to be conveyed out. Thus, an optional recording paper can be selected from a large number of paper-feed cassettes with the simple paper feeding mechanism to feed paper.</p> |
