PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal display element which is easily handled, where the disconnection of a terminal electrode is not caused, and whose reliabil ity is high. CONSTITUTION:In the liquid crystal display element 1 constituted by sealing liquid crystal 19 between a pair of upper and lower substrates 11 and 12 having flexibility such as a plastic film and sticking upper and lower polarizing plates 21 and 22 on the upper and the lower substrates 11 and 12; at least either polarizing plate of the liquid crystal display element 1 covers even a driving circuit mounting part 24 and the polarizing plates are stuck to a driving circuit substrate 2.
