PURPOSE:To provide rolls with which the generation of defect in shape is prevented even by roll cross rolling, a method for manufacturing the rolls, a cold rolling method and cold rolling mill using the rolls. CONSTITUTION:These rolls are the rolls having patterns 4, 5, 6 which are constituted of fine projecting and recessing parts 3 and different in the axial direction of the rolls 1, 2, and such rolls are manufactured with a laser beam. Cross rolling is executed by using these rolls as upper and lower rolls, the edge wave and center buckle of a rolled stock are detected and the crossed axes angle is controlled so that the detected value is made zero. In this way, when cross rolling is executed with these rolls, the edge drop of the rolled stock is reduced and the generation of edge wave and center buckle is prevented, so the cold rolled steel sheet excellent in a cross-sectional shape and planar shape is obtained. |
