<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved driving time monitoring method by transmitting a message when the driving time exceeds the duration that is previously decided as the maximum driving time by means of a time coefficient means and a control unit which is connected to a communication device used for a portable data carrier. SOLUTION: A vehicle is started through an ignition enable state only when four questions of steps 2 to 5 are all affirmed. Then the data on the date and the clock time are stored as the start of the driving time (7). When an ignition key is inserted (8), it is checked whether the driving time exceeds the duration that is previously decided as the maximum driving time (9). If the driving time exceeds the set duration, a control unit transmits a message to point out this fact (10). Then the message is erased when the ignition key is pulled out (11) and also a portable data carrier is taken out (12).</p> |
