摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically constitute an optical path network without increasing the scale of an optical cross connector by grouping the optical path of a part of optical path network data obtained by assigning one wave length to one piece of optical path into halves and assigning a new wave length to one of them. SOLUTION: As routes connecting nodes 1 to 6, there are an optical path 6 one wave length are assigned to, optical paths P13 and P14 obtained by dividing the optical path 6. An optical path controller 61 controls the combination of transmission lines and the wave length of an optical signal transmitted within this transmission line to constitute an optical path. This optical path controller 61 monitors the state of using a wave length within an optical path within an optical transmission line between the respective nodes and within an optical path between the optical cross connector and an optical terminating equipment to temporarily terminate a part of the optical paths at a node in the middle to bi-sect. In this case the optical path controller 61 does not increase the number of optical paths between each optical cross connector and the optical path terminating equipment and assigns another wave length to one optical path of the bi-sected optical path.
