CHEWABLE DRUG-DELIVERY COMPOSITION

A non-aqueous, chewable composition for oral delivery of unpalatable drugs is pr ovided. The composition contains the drug intimately dispersed or dissolved in a pharmaceutically acceptable lipid th at is solid at room temperatures. The composition also has a matrix that contains a granulating agent for the total composition an d a rapid dispersal agent and optionally additives such as buffering agents, flavoring agents, surfactants, and the like. Methods f or the preparation of the chewable compositions are also provided.
