PURPOSE:To improve the machining accuracy of platy terminals and, in addition, to reduce the manufacturing man-hours of a semiconductor device. CONSTITUTION:A case 21 has a cylindrical shape with opened both ends and projections on its internal side faces at its upper end section. Platy terminals 22 which electrically connect circuit components, such as semiconductor chips 32, etc., mounted on the upper main surface of an insulating substrate 30 to external devices have U-shaped bent putting sections. At the time of fitting the terminals 22 to the case 21, the bent sections are engaged with the projections of the case 21 from the inside. The terminals 22 are fixed to the case with screws 23 and, at the same time, the pivoting of the terminals is restricted by stoppers 24 which are small projections provided on the bottom surfaces of the projections of the case 21. Since the terminals 22 are fitted to the case by engagement, the terminals 22 can be machined in prescribed shapes while the terminals 22 are in single bodies. Therefore, the machining accuracy of the terminals 22 can be improved and the manufacture of a semiconductor device becomes easier. |
