PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is improved in a charge-discharge characteristic. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing the grains of negative electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery by a sol-gel method has at least on process from among the following processes of preparing sol of a tin contained oxide by reaction in a solution using a tin contained compound as one kind of material, a process for introducing sol into an aqueous solution containing a water soluble polymer under agitation so as to form fine grain of the tin contained oxide, a process for gelatinizing the fine grain of the tin contained oxide, and a process for drying the gel by heating. |
