PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image material having extremely good cutting quality, exact cutting size, high stiffness and good curling property by using paper consisting essentially of specific natural pulp as a substrate. SOLUTION: The paper consisting essentially of the natural pulp is used as the substrate and the paper substrate on the side provided with one image forming layer is coated with a resin layer A contg. a resin (a) having film formability and the paper substrate on the opposite side is coated with a resin layer B contg. a resin (b) having the film formability. The paper substrate comprises the natural pulp having the following range as the essential component relating to the natural pulp after beating before chemicals for paper are added: Namely, the value of [(the fiber length of the pulp)/(the freeness of the pulp)] is in a range of 1.4×10<-3> to 2.0×10<-3> (mm/ml) and the fiber length of the pulp is in a range of 0.45 to 0.65 mm. Further, the cutting quality index (C value) expressed by the equation: C value = 100 × (internal bonding strength)<1/2> /(punching force) of the image forming material is >=2.0. |
