PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cooling capacity of a compressor motor by a method wherein the frequency of electric power, supplied to the compressor, is increased forcibly for a given period of time when the compressor motor has been operated continuously for more than a predetermined period of time with a low frequency. SOLUTION: An inverter 5 supplies an electric power, having a frequency determined by an inverter frequency determining unit 9, to a compressor motor 6 whereby the compressor motor 6 is controlled by a frequency, determined by the inverter frequency determining unit 9. The inverter frequency determining unit 9 determines the inverter frequency in accordance with a required frequency Ao, outputted by the inverter required frequency generating unit 8 of an indoor machine 3. A correcting unit 41, correcting the inverter frequency determined by the inverter frequency determining unit 9, outputs a correcting value, increasing a frequency, set for the inverter 5, forcibly for a given period of time, when the compressor motor 6 has been operated with a low frequency for more than a given period of time continuously. |
