A preferred embodiment of the preferred invention comprises a right angle attachment (10) for a power hand tool (20) of the type which has a generally cylindrical elongated housing with a motor contained within the housing or case and the motor having an output shaft that extends from the nose end of the hand tool (20). The attachment (10) has a housing (12) with a mounting end (14) that fits on the nose end portion (22) of the tool housing, with the housing (12) having an input shaft (30) and an output shaft (48) that are operatively coupled together by bevel gears (44, 46) attached to each shaft. A magnet (74) is mounted on the output shaft (48) near an electric circuit (62, 64, 66, 68, 70) located within the housing (12) for producing current that drives the LED's. Since the magnet (74) and the circuit are inside the housing (12), a lens (70) is provided in the housing (12) adjacent the light producing device (66) for emitting light to the exterior of the housing (12) and toward the tool attached to the distal end (16). |
