PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent effectively scatter of contents at the time of unsealing, by a method in which a hermetic container for storing food or drink or the like is comprised of a lid and a bottom and an air-containing part for the prevention of the scatter of the contents at the time of unsealing is provided near an unsealing part. SOLUTION: In the hermetic container comprising a lid and a bottom, an air-containing part is provided in an area of the inside of a container, which is exposed first at the time of unsealing. That is, the lid has the shape of a lid that is directly placed on food, and, in the opening 1, the air-containing part 2 is provided by altering the shape of the lid so that contents 3 are prevented from being scattered even if the internal pressure of the container increases. In the case the capacity of air-containing part is less than 1 cc, a scatter prevention effect for the contents 3 cannot be expected at the time of unsealing, and in the case it exceeds 20 cc, on the other hand, the preservation period of the contents 3 is shortened unless an amount of oxygen gas the air-containing part 2 contains is reduced. Therefore, the capacity of the air-containing part is 1-20 cc, and it is provided so as to cope with a change in the pressure of the inside of the container. The material of the lid used here is not limited in particular, however, examples of it are a single-layer sheet comprising polyolefin or the like, and a composite sheet comprising a resin having gas barrier properties and paper.
