The method involves providing a computer system with an automatic customer identification for use when identifying the computer system to a handler website by supplying general HTML content with tokens for the computer system to a token substitution program; supplying system and ordering information specific to the computer system to the token substitution program to produce general system-specific content; and installing the system-specific content on a hard disc in the computer system. Independent claims are also included for a system for providing a computer with integral automatic customer identification and for a computer system with system-specific content for customer identification.
