PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration of an electronic part due to high temperature by setting the temperature of a thermostatic oven low, according to the maximum temperature of an ambient temperature. SOLUTION: The temperature of a thermostatic oven is set according to the maximum temperature of an ambient temperature. In this oscillator, a control part CONT first decides a set temperature in the thermostatic oven OVN based on an ambient temperature from a temperature sensor Tsensor, when power is inputted. For instance, when environment temperature information is 10 deg.C, the set temperature in the thermostatic oven OVN is defined as, e.g. 35 deg.C, and the control part CONT supplies the defines set temperature to a temperature control part Tcont. The part Tcont performs control so as to fix the temperature in the oven OVN to 35 deg.C, based on the supplied set temperature. If it is set to about 15 deg.C which is higher than an ambient maximum temperature in this way, the temperature in the oven keeps almost constant. Then, because the temperature in the oven OVN keeps low when an ambient temperature is low, it is possible to reduce the characteristic deterioration of an electronic component due to high temperature aging.
