SEMI-CONDUCTIVE RESIN COMPOSITION AND CROSSLINKED POLYETHYLENE-INSULATED ELECTRIC POWER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-conductive resin composition which does not cause hydrolysis of alkoxysilane, a condensation reaction, an early crosslinking (scorch) and the like even when the resin is subjected to an operation of a long term extrusion covering with an extruder and a crosslinked polyethylene-insulated power cable with a semi-conductive layer covered by extruding the semi- conductive resin. SOLUTION: A semi-conductive resin composition is obtained by mixing not less than 10 pts. of a conductive carbon black with 100 pts.wt. of a blend mixture of a polyolefin elastomer and polyethylene having a melting point of not less than 120 deg.C. A crosslinked polyethylene-insulated power cable is provided with a semi-conductive layer which is made of the semi-conductive resin composition obtained by mixing not less than 10 pts. of the conductive carbon black with 100 pts.wt. of the blend mixture of the polyolefin elastomer and polyethylene having a melting point of not less than 120 deg.C.
