PURPOSE: A control method of a control panel is provided to allow user to operate a microwave oven in an easy and convenient manner by varying steps of increasing or decreasing count value upon operating a time control knob and an output control knob. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step(S201) of rotating encoders, a second step(S202,S203) of increasing by 1 minute the count value(CNT) when the rotation range of the encoders is within 15 minutes, a third step(S204,S205) of increasing by 10 minutes the count value when the rotation range of the encoders is within 60 minutes, a fourth step(S206) of increasing by 30 minutes the count value when the rotation range of the encoders exceeds 60 minutes, and a fifth step(S207) of displaying the count value increased or decreased in the first to fourth steps. The time zone which is not frequently used by users, is increased or decreased by a large volume, to thereby permit cooking time to be rapidly set.
