<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel cell system which improves cost efficiency and energy efficiency and can save installation space. <P>SOLUTION: The solid oxide fuel cell system comprises a solid oxide fuel cell 3, a water electrolysis means 5 for producing hydrogen and oxygen from water with electric power, and a hydrogen tank 29 for storing the hydrogen produced by the water electrolysis means 5.
