<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staircase structure which is provided with a plurality of treads which are in a cantilever state that one end of the tread is buried and fixed in a wall part, which can sufficiently secure the strength of the whole staircase structure even when the treads are provided to the thin wall part in a cantilever state, and which resists generation of insecure feeling caused by visual feeling of lack of strength of the whole staircase structure. <P>SOLUTION: The staircase structure is provided with a plurality of treads 3 which are in a cantilever state that one end 31 of the tread is buried and fixed in the wall part 2. Then each of the plurality of treads 3 is supported by a tread-supporting body 4 from a lower place in the outside position of the wall surface 21 of the wall part 2, and in a position which is within half the total length of the tread 3 in the direction from one end 31 to the other end 32 of the tread 3.
