PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite communication system, without interfering for a initial access signal in uplink to a line during other links and leading to a barrier of system capacity improvement. SOLUTION: The satellite communication system includes a satellite 1 from which an uplink signal is relayed and an entering portion 6 which transmits the uplink signal, and a ground station receiver 2 which receives downlink line signal.The entering portion 6 has an initial access signal modulator portion 8, which makes a mapping a specific hopping pattern on time-axis only to the initial access signal, and a CW-transmitting portion 7 for initial accessing, to turn on/off the transmission output of the carrier signal of a certain radio signal in a guard band, according to a hopping pattern. The ground station receiver 2 changes the downlink line signal from the satellite into a baseband signal and recovers the primitive access signal from base-band signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
