FEEDFORWARD DISTORTION COMPENSATING AMPLIFIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a distortion over the whole signal bandwidth and obtain an output signal whose ratio between a signal power and a distortion power is high even when a frequency characteristic exists within the signal bandwidth. SOLUTION: A feedforward distortion compensating amplifier has an arrangement of alternately performing a function of adjusting a distortion detection loop which cancels a predetermined frequency signal component, and a function of adjusting the distortion detection loop by calculating a control value reducing a signal component within a signal bandwidth on the basis of a phase/amplitude control value and a frequency characteristic of a constituent element at this time. Also, the amplifier has an arrangement of alternately performing a function of adjusting a distortion removal loop which cancels a distortion component outside a predetermined frequency bandwidth, and a function of adjusting a distortion removal loop by calculating a control value reducing a distortion component within a signal bandwidth on the basis of a phase/amplitude control value and a frequency characteristic of a constituent element at this time.
