<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a conductive member equipped with a cover layer which does not degrade the characteristics and performance of the conductive member and obviates the generation of an orange peel. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a conductive member having the coated cover layer on a conductive elastic layer on the outer circumference of a conductive support, the solvent evaporation rate r and coating environmental wind velocity w of a coating liquid fulfills 20≤rw≤150 äwhere, r: a solvent evaporation rate (mg/cm<SP>2</SP>min), w: a coating environmental wind velocity (m/sec)}, and the manufacturing step comprises a dipping step of dipping the member into the coating liquid and a pulling up step of pulling up the member by regulating an initial velocity of pulling up the member from the coating liquid to ≤40 mm/s. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
