PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device, a control method thereof, and an imaging system which can confirm an imaging-enable number based on a memory remaining amount of an external device receiving and storing image data from the imaging device. SOLUTION: A free amount of a memory for storing image data in a computer (PC) is acquired, the free amount of the memory is updated (S29) according to a transmission of the image data to the PC, and an imaging-enable number is calculated based on the free amount of the memory (S24).
