PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an echo signal from a target from being masked by an interference signal using a simple structure, in a detection distance measuring apparatus. SOLUTION: A generating means 101 modulates a carrier signal by a modulation signal to generate a probe signal for detecting the position of the target, a transmission sensor means 102 radiates the probe signal. A reception sensor means 103 receives the probe signal, reflected by the target as the echo signal. An extracting means 104 extracts the distance information of the target from the echo signal. An interference detecting means 105 detects the presence of the interference signal, other than the echo signal out of a reception signal, and a control means 106 changes the parameters of the modulation signal and/or the carrier signal.
