#CMT# #/CMT# The leaf spring (2) is made from a fiber-reinforced plastic material. #CMT# : #/CMT# The unit (1) includes at least one first support point (6), and at least one leaf spring with two ends (3, 4), the spring following a curved path (5) between the first support point and a distal second support point (7). At least one end of the spring is connected to the second support point. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Leaf spring for use in this unit, comprising a fiber-reinforced plastic web (8) having the same width over its entire length, a fastener hole being provided in either end of the web; and (B) Method for producing the unit by forming a leaf spring from fiber-reinforced plastic, bending the ends of the spring together with a relatively gentle force at an elevated temperature, cooling the spring until it acquires the desired spring properties, and joining the ends together. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# For use in clean rooms. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The spring requires relatively little force to fix it into the desired position and shape. The spring also generates less dust or debris due to wear.
