PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus in which light distribution can be made comparatively uniform. SOLUTION: The spacing A of a pipe 1 is made longer than the length L in tube axial direction of a lamp La, and the connecting portion of the apparatus body 2 and the pipe 1 is located at both ends side in tube axial direction of the lamp La viewed from perpendicular direction so as not to overlap with the lamp La. Compared with the case in which the spacing A of the pipe 1 is shorter than the length in tube axial direction of the lamp La and the connection portion of the apparatus body 2 and the pipe 1 overlaps with the lamp La, the pipe 1 hardly cuts off the light of the lamp La, thereby light distribution can be made comparatively uniform.
