PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed article produced by a polyester derived from a biomass resource, having practical physical properties and greatly contributing to solve problems such as an environmental problem, a problem of the starvation of fossil fuel, etc. SOLUTION: This foamed article produced by the polyester derived from the biomass resource and having the main recurring units of a dicarboxylic acid unit and diol unit is characterized in that at least one of the dicarboxylic acid and diol which are the raw materials of the polyester, is obtained from the biomass resource and the terminal carboxyl group amount in the polyester is≤50 equivalent/ton.
