<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have IC cards of different physical specifications held in a holding apparatus designed to hold the IC cards of the existing type. <P>SOLUTION: An IC card adapter comprises: a holding section 35 provided on the apparatus main body and holding the IC 10 incorporating at least a semiconductor memory with a first terminal section 12 provided on one end; a second terminal section 53 provided on one surface side which is to be an inserting side to the apparatus in the apparatus main body for carrying out transmission and reception of data with the apparatus, such as a recording and reproducing apparatus, in which the IC card 10 is held; an inserting and extracting opening 52 for the IC card provided continuously to the holding section 35 on the other surface side facing the first side surface of the apparatus main body; a connecting section 44 provided on the holding section 35, electrically connected to the second terminal section 53 and connected to the first terminal section 12 in the IC card 10; and a chamfered section 60 provided on the other surface side of the apparatus main body and having a part of the IC card 10 held in the holding part 35 face outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
