A washing machine is provided to stop the machine by easily sensing the obnormality of IMP operation in case that a motor is stopped. A washing machine comprises an IPM(Intelligent Power Module)(20), controller(10), and switching device(40). The IPM authorizes the driving signal to a motor. The controller controls the driving of the motor by outputting the control signal to the IPM. The switching device is equipped at the power input end of IPM and controls the power provided to the IPM along the control signal. |
