Use of adhesive mass for an adhesive tape for bonding flexible printing plates on printing cylinders or printing sleeve, is claimed, where the adhesive mass comprises at least one resin-polymer mixture made up of at least 50 wt.% of one or more vinyl aromate-based polymer block and 1,3-diene-based polymer block, containing block copolymer and 50 wt.% of adhesive resin. An independent claim is included for a double-sided adhesive tape comprising at least one foamed carrier (8), at least one polymer film on one side of the foamed carrier and/or a layer of adhesive mass on both sides of the adhesive tape, where at least one external adhesive mass layer comprises the mass comprising the resin-polymer mixture as above per se and 50 wt.% of the adhesive resin.
