The machine has a bag (2) containing a cleaning liquid and including a cleaning unit (4) e.g. brush set, for cleaning a club head. A frame (6) is disposed above the bag for allowing three degrees of freedom for golf clubs. A unit descends the club head in the bag during rotation cycle of the bag, makes the head to remain in the bag during cleaning period, and raises the head above the liquid level during end of the cycle. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning a golf club head.
