<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which can dispense with a cable connection such as an FPC between an optical pickup and a circuit board, while using an optical pickup in which the optical system from the output of laser light to the detection of the reflected beam is unified in one block, and to provide a method for supplying power to the optical pickup and a signal transmission method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk device for recording/reproducing data by irradiating an optical disk with the laser light, the optical disk device is provided with a noncontact power supply means for supplying power by emitting the laser light from a laser light transmission side provided outside the optical pickup to a laser light receiving side provided to the optical pickup and by receiving the light; and a noncontact transmission means for transmitting/receiving a laser output means driving signal, a servo mechanism control signal, and a signal based on the detection of an optical sensor, by an optical signal or a radio signal, between the optical pickup and the outside thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
