PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that achieves, after image formation is repeated for a long period, both suppression of the occurrence of an auger mark and suppression of the occurrence of fogging in the early stage of initiation after being left unused for a long time.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus comprising: developing means that stores an electrostatic charge image developer including a toner and carrier and develops an electrostatic charge image formed on the surface of an image holding body as a toner image with the electrostatic charge image developer; and replenishment means that stores a toner for replenishment and carrier for replenishment and replenishes the toner for replenishment and carrier for replenishment to the electrostatic charge image developer inside the developing means, and satisfying the formula (1) 0.80≤A'/A≤0.98. In the formula (1), A and A' are the total amounts of energy of the electrostatic charge image developer stored inside the developing means, the amount being measured by a powder rheometer; A is the total amount of energy before formation of 30,000 images having an amount of toner placed of 4.2 g/mand an area of 0.06 m, and A' is the total amount of energy after the formation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
