PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, a method of controlling the image forming apparatus, and a program with which the occurrence of a failure in cleaning with a first cleaning blade can be suppressed even at the occurrence of paper jam.SOLUTION: A printer 1 comprises photoreceptor drums 31, a conveyance belt 53, photoreceptor blades 36, transfer rollers 54, and a belt cleaner part 55. When the printer detects paper jam and stops printing, a control part 80 switches whether or not to apply a transfer current to the transfer rollers 54 to transfer a part of a toner carried on the photoreceptor drums 31 to the conveyance belt 53, and a toner not transferred remains carried on the photoreceptor drums 31. The toner transferred to the conveyance belt 53 is conveyed to the belt cleaner part 55, and the toner remaining carried on the photoreceptor drums 31 is conveyed to the photoreceptor blades 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
