The invention to be protected refers to controlled release tablets of bupropion in a concentration of from about 25 mg to about 500 mg, which have the purpose to perform the same therapeutic effect but with a reduced dose and a single daily intake. The present formulation is useful in depression treatments, and as a smoking deter which is also useful for reducing the side effects thereof.
