<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for inkjet recording which is excellent in ink absorption performance, wherein an ink blur is suppressed and which is improved in the glossiness of the surface, and a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the medium for inkjet recording which has an ink image receiving layer of a porous structure on one side of a substrate, the ink image receiving layer of the porous structure is formed on at least one side of the substrate and then the substrate is calendered by a long nip calender constituted of metal rolls and shoe rolls with a synthetic resin belt interposed and having a nip width of 10 mm or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
