PURPOSE:To improve the lubricating performance of a lubricating device in a final reduction gear for an automobile or the like by providing differential side oil seals between a differential carrier and axles and providing lubricating oil guide parts facing the differential side grooves, at a differential carrier cover, at the end part of the differential carrier so as to guide lubricating oil turned around by a ring gear. CONSTITUTION:When a ring gear 16 and a differential housing 18 are rotated by the driving of an internal combustion engine, lubricating oil on the first axle 28-1 side in a differential carrier 4 is splashed by the ring gear 16, and lubricating oil on the second axle 28-2 side is splashed by the differential housing 18. The lubricating oil flows from above to below while being turned around by the ring gear 16, collected at rib parts 42-1, 42-2, guided to differential side grooves 36-1, 36-2, and supplied to side oil seals 34-1, 34-2. The supply of lubricating oil to the side oil seals is thereby improved. |
