PURPOSE:To transmit the request of processing to a host device from a printer by providing a transmission and reception control part performing the communication with the host device to control a printer control part and a bar code reader control part and receiving the bar code data read by a bar code reader part. CONSTITUTION:When a bar code ticket 9 is inserted in a bar code reader 5, a bar code reader control part 4 controls a bar code reader 5 to read the bar code of the bar code ticket 9 and the read result is transmitted to a host device by a transmission and reception control part 1. The transmission and reception control part 1 performs the communication with the host device and receives a command from the host device to give instructions to a printer control part 2 to operate a printer part 3. By this constitution, the request of processing can be transmitted to the host device from a printer by bidirectional communication and bar code reading function. |
