PURPOSE:To provide a laser beam machine which eliminates loss in the lateral mode laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam path 5 which guides the laser beam 1 to a condensing lens 4 is provided with a hermetically closed space whose inside is filled with oxygen 10. A magnetic oil 11 is provided on the outer periphery of the laser beam path 5 and a magnetic field is formed in the laser beam path 5. When the magnetic coil 11 is energized, since the oxygen 10 is a ferromagnetic body, the density distribution of the oxygen 10 is changed by the magnetic field, the mode of the laser beam 1 is changed by the changing the refractive index of the laser beam 1 passing through the oxygen 10. Since no obstacle to prevent the laser beam is present in the laser beam path, whole the laser beams are guided to the condenser lens to converge them and the machining speed is increased without energy loss of the laser beam, as well. |
