摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a four-wheel steering device control method by which a rear wheel steering quantity can be set in a proper quantity according to a road surface condition by detecting the road surface condition in a simple method. CONSTITUTION:In a four-wheel steering vehicle to change steering of rear wheels together with front wheels under a prescribed condition, from a vehicle speed and a steering angle, an operation is carried out on transverse G caused when the steering is carried out, and the transverse G is observed by means of a transverse G sensor when a vehicle is traveling, and the control is carried out so as to change the steering of the rear wheels in the same phase with the front wheels according to an operation value of the transverse G, on the one hand, when an observation value G2 of the transverse G is equal to or larger than a value in the same phase steering changing control area of the rear wheels, an operation value G1 of the transverse G and the observation value G2 are compared with each other, and the control is carried out so as to correct a same phase steering changing quantity of the rear wheels according to a comparison value of these both.
