摘要 PURPOSE:To control kinetic characteristics of a vehicle properly in a relationship with friction coefficient of the road surface by using a synthetic peak value of longitudinal acceleration and lateral acceleration of the vehicle as the friction coefficient of the road surface. CONSTITUTION:A vector sum of longitudinal acceleration Gx and lateral acceleration Gy is calculated successively as synthetic acceleration by means of a peak G detecting computer 10, and a peak value is detected when the synthetic acceleration starts to decrease notwithstanding a driver maneuvering condition (a brake operating condition and an accelerator operating condition) is not to decrease the synthetic acceleration. When the peak value is equal to or smaller than a threshold value, a judgment is made such that friction coefficient of the road surface is lower than usual, and respective control characteristics of roller rigidity ratio control, driving torque allocation ratio control and rear wheel steering angle control are changed to the side where vehicle traveling stability can be improved.
