PURPOSE:To increase a permeation flow flux and a water recovery rate in a water purification device which removes turbid substances, bacteria or virus or trihalomethane precursor substances in untreated water using a precision filtration membrane, an ultrafiltration membrane or a loose reverse osmosis membrane. CONSTITUTION:First, a concentrated water in a membrane separation device 4 is separated into a solid and a liquid (flocculation sedimentation pond 1), then the water is oxidized using ozone 2, and is allowed to pass through active carbon for adsorption 3. Next, the water is intraduced again into the membrane separation device 4. Consequently, a suspending component and a dissolving organic polymer component which are moved to a concentrated water side by membrane separation in the membrane separation device 4, are effectively removed on account of treatment such as flocculation sedimentation, ozone oxidation and adsorption to the active carbon. Thus, a permeation flow flux in the membrane separation device 4 is maintained at a high level, and a water recovery rate is significantly increased by circulation of the concentrated water to achieve almost 100% of water recovery rate. |
